What's in Your Travel Bucket List?

Summer is almost over.  Have you found the time to travel and visit one of the many places in your bucket list?  But again, do you have a travel bucket list?  If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go? If you want to see the entire world, it’d take you months and admittedly, a lot of money, to see what the world has to offer. Oh, there are tips on how to travel cheap, but you still need money.  If you are wondering where to go before the summer ends, we have a few suggestions.

Over the last few months, we’ve posted about the most beautiful places in the world.  Here are a few suggestions from our Instagram page.


1. Horseshoe Bend, Arizona

This is one of the most popular areas of the Colorado River. It is a horseshoe-shaped incised meander located in Arizona, United States.  The area is accessible via hiking, but there is an access road which also reaches the Horseshoe Bend.

2. Lake Nong Han in Udon Thani

This is Isaan’s romantic getaway.  It is spread over 8000 acres, and it’s famous for the gorgeous red lotus flowers which often blossom in thousands during the cool season.  Not surprisingly, the lake is called Talay Bua Daeng meaning Red Lotus Seas.

3. Cappadocia in Central Turkey

This is in Cappadocia in Central Turkey. It is known for its “fairy chimneys” which are tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered in Monks Valley, Göreme and elsewhere.⠀

4. The Old City of Dubrovnik

This is the old city of Dubrovnik. This Croatian walled city doubles as the location for King’s Landing, the capital city of Westeros. It's the center of the grisliest political feuds in the show Game of Thrones. Go visit and take your place in the Iron Throne.⠀

5. The Isle of Skye

The Isle of Skye is one of the most magical places in Scotland, and it's Fairy Pools are truly magical. Is this in your bucket list? Well, it should be! ⠀

6. Restaurante Sobrino de Botín in Madrid

Restaurante Sobrino de Botín in Madrid is certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as being the oldest restaurant in the world. It has been operating continuously since 1725. It is 292 years old! Amazing, right?⠀

7. Lindesnes lighthouse in Norway

This is Lindesnes lighthouse which you'll find in Norway. It's one of the many breathtaking places the country has to offer. Is it in your bucket list?

8. Cascade Falls in Virginia, United States

Without question, Cascade Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Virginia and possibly on the entire East Coast.⠀

9. Slovenia's Lake Bled

Slovenia's Lake Bled is one of those fairytale villages that you can’t really compare to anything else. It’s got a picturesque island in the middle of a glacial lake with a castle overlooking the entire town from the mountain top. Just breathtaking!

10. Big Sur, California

California is filled with stunning scenery, but few sites stack up to those of Big Sur which is known for its epic highway drives.
